Dustin Paul Tarver

Dustin (Dusty) Paul Tarver, age 45, of Tallahassee Florida, passed away August 20, 2022 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Dusty was the son of Debra Lynn Gallien Tarver and the late David Paul Tarver. He was born October 13, 1976 in Tallahassee, Florida.

Dusty is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Marie Evans Tarver and father, David Paul Tarver. He is survived by mother, Debra Lynn Gallien Tarver, brother, Josh Patrick Tarver and nephew Colby, and daughters Presley Elizabeth Tarver and Bristol Lynn Tarver, all of Tallahassee, Florida. Also left to cherish his memory are many aunts, uncles, and cousins and a host of friends.

Dusty graduated from Leon High School in 1995 where he was a member of the rowing team and steel drum band. He attended Florida State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental science. Dusty was employed by NorthStar Group Services where he worked as an environmental scientist. He was a member of Deerlake United Methodist Church.

Following in his Dad’s footsteps, Dusty was a Boy Scout and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He loved hunting and saltwater fishing and spending time outdoors with his family and friends. He considered a game of poker time well-spent indoors. Friends will remember fondly the many good times spent at “the barn”. He loved cheering on the Seminoles, Dolphins, and the Cardinals. His all-time favorite teams, however, were his daughters’ teams when he coached them in soccer and T ball. As their loving father, he was their biggest fan.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in his honor on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Deerlake United Methodist Church, Tallahassee. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
