After fighting multiple types of cancer for over nine years David John Tweedie died on April 6, 2020. David was born in Cincinnati, Ohio April 24,1954 to Edward Anthony Tweedie, Jr. and Joan Leopold Tweedie.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Joan Couvillion Tweedie; his three amazing children, Alan Edward Tweedie (Stephanie), Angela Tweedie Kaskel (Jonathan), Sarah Tweedie Maloney (Michael). He has 7 wonderful grandchildren: Ava Tweedie, Cora Tweedie, Alice Kaskel, Hazel Kaskel, Helen Kaskel, Eliza Maloney, and Walter Maloney; sisters: Marilyn Tweedie Alvarez, Alicia Tweedie Prince (Aubrey), Anita Tweedie Howe, Sue Epperson and many nieces and nephews who love UNCLE DAVID.
For 24 years he worked for Watkins Engineers and Constructors in Tallahassee, FL. He worked for Bilfinger Industrial Services for 11 years.
David was a wonderful family man who loved to travel, was an avid quail hunter, enjoyed camping and backpacking. He also loved scuba diving, especially with his family, something they all enjoyed doing together. In the winter the family sport of choice was snow skiing. As he got older his favorite thing was spending time with all his children and grandchildren especially at the beach. Watching the sun rise over the ocean with his wife and his grandchildren was a very popular activity every time they were together.
A Celebration of Life will be held for David at a later date when the Coronavirus is over, details will be provided at that time.
