David Crockett Ritchie

David Crockett Ritchie, 84, of Havana, Florida passed away Wednesday, May 9th, 2012, at Big Bend Hospice House in Tallahassee, Florida.

He was born January 11th, 1928 in Oak Hill, Florida.

Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00PM, Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Woodland Cemetery in Havana, Florida.

David graduated from New Symrna Beach High School and the University of Florida. He loved football and was an avid Florida Gator fan. He was married for 54 years to the late Shirley Baker Ritchie in 1949.

David is survived by five children: David Ritchie of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Larry Ritchie of Havana, FL, Tom Ritchie of Bradenton, FL, Delores Gully of Hahira, GA, and Sandy Ray of Havana, FL; eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchil-dren; and his brother Claude Swindell of Orlando, FL.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Big Ben Hospice of Tallahassee, Florida or Advent Christian Center of Dowling Park, Florida.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cullye's MeadowWood Funeral Home in Tallahassee, Florida.
