Chester Eugene Lee, 70, died on January 3, 2012 in Tallahassee, Florida.
Born on October 7, 1941 in Butler County, Kentucky, he was an avid University of Kentucky "Wildcats" fan. In the 1970s, Chester was the owner of Village Barber Shop in Lexington, Kentucky. Moving to Tallahassee in 1987, he worked at Northwood Mall Barber Shop until he opened Chester's Barber Shop in 2002. Chester was a longtime member of North Florida Baptist Church.
He will be missed greatly, but will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
Chester was preceded in death by his father, Chester A. Lee; his mother, Dixie Lee Wilson; and his sister, Ruth Lee Melton.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Lee; daughter, Shelly Lee Harrell (and spouse Robert Harrell); and grandson, William "Trace" Harrell.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at North Florida Baptist Church, 3000 North Meridian Road, Tallahassee, Florida.
Arrangements are under the direction of Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Tallahassee, FL.
