Charles M. "Charlie" Strange Jr.

Funeral service will be held 4 p.m. EDT Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010 at Bethel United Methodist Church, 1470 Bethel Church Road with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Culley's MeadowWood Riggins Road Funeral Home (850-877-8191).

Charlie was born in Henderson, N.C. and raised in Charleston S.C. He was a longtime Tallahassee resident and an active member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Charlie was retired from the purchasing department of Floridin Company after 30 years of service. He served in the U.S. Air Force where he was a Military Policeman and Martial Arts instructor.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Joyce A. Strange, son, Charles M. "Chuck" Strange (and wife Donna) and daughter, Karen Gotti (and husband Jamie), and three grandchildren, Jessica, Matthew and Brandon Strange.
