Charles W. Lipford

Charles W. Lipford, age 81, of Woodville, Fl. passed on Monday, October 24, 2016 at Big Bend Hospice House of Tallahassee. He was born in Woodville, Fl., on January 15, 1935 to Charlie Lipford and Mary Lewis Lipford and was a supervisor with the City of Tallahassee, Hopkins Power Plant, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Woodville.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; one stepson, Daryl Michael Sheffield; and one stepdaughter, Kimberly Jane Cacciatore. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jean Lipford; one daughter, Francine Lipford (Doug) York; two step-daughters, Judith Diane Colson and Vicki Sue (Charlie) Leuenberger; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters; 1 brother; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Woodville with the funeral service starting at 11:00 am. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Tallahassee National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Margaret Z. Dozier Hospice House of Tallahassee, 1723 Mahan Center Boulevard, Tallahassee, Fl., 32308.
