Carol Woodruff Hanson

Carol Woodruff Hanson passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at the Westminster Healthcare Center in Tallahassee, one day prior to her 97th birthday. Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Nils Leonard Hanson in June 2002.

Carol was the office manager for Hanson Appraisal in Melbourne, Florida; as well as the lifetime support for all of the many endeavors accomplished by Nils and Carol. She was a brilliant and loving wife, Mother and Grandmother who was constantly positive and supportive and will always be missed. Carol and Nils had a wonderful life in Melbourne, FL; Cashiers, NC; the Florida Keys and finally in Tallahassee.

Survivors include son, Paul (Elvira) Hanson, Tallahassee and grandson, Erik Hanson, Gainesville, FL. The family extends their gratitude to each of the outstanding staff members of Westminster Oaks for compassionate care.

Services will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the Tallahassee National Cemetery, 5015 Apalachee Parkway. Memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308. Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Riggins Road is handling arrangements.
