Betty was born on August 27, 1931 in Havana, FL to William and Olive Kelly. Betty was a devoted Christian and member of Celebration Baptist Church even though she had been unable to attend the past few years. Prior to becoming a member at Celebration, she had been a member of Oak City Assembly of God for many many years and made many life-long friends . Betty worked at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and US Plywood before retiring and becoming a homemaker and grandmother many years ago. She enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking, baking, crocheting and most of all she enjoyed her family.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace; her parents; and her brother, Lawrence Kelly. She is survived by her children, Bill (Donna) Allbritton and Bob (Sharon) Allbritton, all of Tallahassee; brother, Harold (Johnnie) Kelly of Ringgold, GA; six grandchildren: Robby (Ashley) Allbritton, Richy (Kathleen) Allbritton, Eric (Elizabeth) Allbritton, Darrah (Jake) Beech, Kelly (Michael) Bane, and Lindsey (Todd) Rowan; along with 14 great grandchildren who will all miss her dearly.
A service celebrating Betty will be held on Thursday, June 10th at 2pm at Cully's MeadowWood, 700 Timberlane Road with interment following the service. The family will receive friends beginning at 1pm prior to the service.
