He was the son of Benjamin Felix Curry, Sr. and Carolyn Harrell Curry. Ben was born in Jacksonville, Florida and moved to Tallahassee as a young boy with his family where he excelled on all the baseball teams he played on. After high school, Ben attended Florida State University on a full scholarship and continued his baseball career. He then returned to Tallahassee to be close to his family and friends and worked in the finance department at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare until his retirement five years ago. He met his beloved Martha many years ago and the rest is history. A true love story. Ben was an intimidating figure but had a loving and caring personality.
