It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Arend Cornelis de Koning. He was 83 years old. He went to be with our Lord and Savior on February 22, 2022, at his home in Crawfordville , Florida.
He was born December 21, 1939 in Lissa, Netherlands to Pieter and Elisabeth de Koning. He married his true love Betty Jean de Koning on April 30, 1966 and they had two children.
He was a devoted member of the Cornerstone United Reformed Church and a veteran of the United States Army.
Arend is predeceased by his parents, his wife Betty ,and his sister Yannie.
Arend leaves behind his children Kevin de Koning (Dana Caswell) and Christine de Koning (Narin Ket); two granddaughters, Amy Millers, and Silviana Fassett; one great-grand daughter , Kaliyah Eggles. As well as one brother, Casey de Koning( Helga de Koning).
A graveside funeral service for Arend will be held Friday, February 25, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Tallahassee National Cemetery, 5015 Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee, Florida 32311.
