She lived in Tallahassee for 42 years, also Miami, New Jersey, New York, New Orleans, and Colombia. She had a wonderful life of 97 years, with loving family all around.
Alicia was the 3rd of 5 children of Mario Camargo and Cecilia Pinzon Camargo. Her extended family was one of the first families to introduce coffee to Colombia, growing and producing Colombian Coffee, and ultimately exporting it all over the world. The family moved to America when she was 15.
Alicia attended Manhattanville College of the Sacred Heart in New York City, and met her loving husband, Elton Miller, during World War II, at a military ball sponsored by her school. After the war ended, they married in 1946. Elton and Alicia were married 56 years, until Elton passed in 2002. Alicia was a dearly loved wife; she was the kindest and most selfless of all mothers.
Alicia is survived by her 5 children (Ronald Miller, Carol Kinchen (Stan), John Miller, Gloria Everett (Bruce), and Eileen Waller (Alex), 20 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren, as well as her sister, Cecilia Monturo, and many dear nieces and nephews.
Alicia was a retired Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner. She was a gift of God to her family, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother
