Wayne L. “Scotty” Scott was born on April 8th, 1934 in Utlayville, CO, the son of Logan and Mayme Scott. He completed his schooling in the Tahlequah area and began his career as a plumber, owning and operating Scotty’s Plumbing in Tahlequah. In June of 2012, he married his best friend and wife, Barbara Sue Robinson in Tahlequah, OK. When ever Scotty had some free time, he could be found at his favorite fishing spot or out on the green, golfing with Barbara. He was an accomplished musician, and loved to play his guitar, gospel and country music being his favorites. He played every chance he had and shared his gift of music in the church. Scotty was quiet, thoughtful and reserved in nature. He adored the time he spent with Barbara and liked people, doing the little extra’s that made their life easier. A Christian by faith, Scotty attended Philadelphia Bible Church in Tahlequah, OK. He became ill and contented himself with being home and with those he loved. The Lord called Scotty to his Eternal Home on August 31st, 2015 in Tahlequah, surrounded by his family. Scotty was 81 years old. He will be missed for all the love and happiness he brought and shared.
Scotty is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Kenneth Scott and one sister, Juanita Scott.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Barbara of the home in Tahlequah, and three children, Terry Scott, Rick Scott both of Oklahoma and one daughter, Tine Wulf of Eufaula, OK.
