Terry "Jap" Lee McLemore

Terry Lee McLemore was born on October 28th, 1958 in Tahlequah, OK, the son of Peggy McLemore. He was raised with four brothers and two sisters, Gary, Kevin, Jim “Doy”, Harold Ray “Dooney”, Tina and Kaylynn. He attended school and then began his working career in the construction industry. He was a hard working man who knew how to relax and have fun when the work was all through. He liked to go to the river and do a little fishing, or maybe just float the day away and grill something on the open fire afterwards. He also enjoyed time spent hunting. He loved animals and liked to aggravate his pets, teasing them and his family and friends as well. Horses were always interesting ,and he loved a good rodeo, fun to watch and fun to work. Mornings were good if he had a cup of good coffee and a little Shania Twain on the radio. Evenings he liked a good cold beer and watching WWE Smack down wrestling. Terry was affectionately known as Jap The Rapper by his friends, and he knew just how to put a smile on anyone’s face, if he couldn’t make you grin, you were beyond hope. He married his sweetheart, Tammy Armer on July 11th, 2008 at the Christie Baptist Church in Proctor, OK. Together, they raised a family of two sons and a daughter, Aaron, Christopher and Claressa. He loved his family and would do anything to keep them happy. They always knew what it took to make him smile, and share a laugh with the rest of the family. His health began to fail him and he passed from this life on November 7th, 2021 in Tulsa, OK, after reaching the age of 63. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his mother Peggy McLemore, his grandparents and his brother, Dooney, Harold Ray Jones.

Those left to cherish Terry’s memory include his beloved wife Tammy McLemore of the home and his children, Aaron Syas and wife Jessica of Tahlequah ,OK, Claressa Armer of Jonesboro, AR and a son Christopher. He is survived by his step-father/best friend Jim "Pop" Perry Sr., his brothers and sisters, Gary Jones and wife Rose of Salina, OK, Kevin Jones of Woodall, OK, Jim “Doy” Perry Jr. and companion Chastity Prime of Hulbert, OK, Tina Jones and companion Joe Hooper of Tahlequah, OK, and Kaylynn Perry of Woodall, OK. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.

Funeral services for Terry Lee McLemore will be held on Friday, November 12th, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel with Pastor Jason Gann officiating. His family will have a visitation on Thursday, November 11th, 2021 beginning at 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Reed-Culver Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Cedar Tree Cemetery in Briggs, OK. Pallbearers for Terry include Jim “JJ” Perry III, Jim “Doy” Perry Jr., Aaron Syas, Gary Jones, Kyle Jones and Joey Hooper.
