Stacy Kristen Leslie was born on March 11th, 1966 in Lawrence, KS, the daughter of James Herbert and Nancy Carol (Jones) Goff. She was raised with two brothers and one sister; Christopher Goff, Michael Goff, and Penny Goff. She attended school and graduated from Muskogee High School in 1984. While in school, she played with the Oklahoma Youth Orchestra, and was a student of the late Maxine Newlon. She played both the viola and the violin very well. Upon graduating, she attended OSU and finished her degree at Northeastern State University, where she graduated with her Bachelors Degree in Education.
Over the years, she worked at a variety of jobs, including working at Hoopes Hardware; working her way from helping with inventory to becoming store manager, Wheeler Metals Scale House, Universal Blasco, ISG Inc as a Hole Watch and Safety Coordinator, OSHA 10 and 30 Certified, worked at Three Rivers Museum as the Grant Application Authenticator, Genealogy Society Researcher, and Teacher with multiple schools including Hulbert Public School, Grandview and Shiloh Christian Academy among others.
She married and started a family, raising a son and a daughter, Joshua Blundell and Rachel Bertholf. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, aunt , mother and grandmother (Gigi). She loved to work in her garden, raising beautiful and delicious fruits and vegetables that she would can for her family and friends near and far. Stacy was an accomplished quilter, loved acquiring and valuing antiques of various types. She met and married her best friend, Raymond Leslie on February 8th, 2014. Together they traveled the United States and made many happy memories together. Both of them shared a love for God, and worship. Stacy played the viola and violin in church. She also served in Children Ministries as a leader, participated in teaching Vacation Bible School at Keefeton Freewill Baptist Church and participated as a cook for their annual youth missionary trips for many years. She had a delightful smile, a warm and giving heart, worked for anyone that needed her, and worked tirelessly serving her Lord and Savior. Life wasn’t always easy, but Stacy met trials head on and fought them bravely. She battled cancer for over ten years. She never asked for sympathy, but often sought out others who needed her. Her life was made richer with the addition of eight grandchildren, Brook, Tallon, Daily, Dillon, Abscity, Neviah, Hector, and Stephen. Then came three great granddaughters, Emma, Elena, and Emry, she loved and adored them all. The Lord called this hard working woman home from her many labors on February 10th, 2023 in Tulsa, with her loved ones by her side. She was 56 years old and leaves a legacy for her family to follow.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents,Gilbert and Euna Jones and Herbert and Ula May Goff, her mother Nancy and father James, her brother Christopher and one nephew, Ryan Goff.
Those left to cherish her life include her beloved husband, Raymond Leslie of the home, and her children, Rachel Bertholf of Muskogee and Joshua Blundell of Keefton, OK. She leaves one brother and one sister, Michael Goff of Ft. Gibson, OK, and Penny Goff along with husband Mario of Richardson, TX. She lives on in her eight grandchildren, Brook Bertholf, and Tallon Bertholf of Muskogee, Daily Bertholf and Dillon Bertholf both of Stillwater, and Abscity Leslie, Neviah Leslie, Hector Leslie and Stephen Leslie all of El Paso, TX. There are three great grandchildren, Emma London, Elena London, and Emry Bertholf all of Stillwater, OK. She also leaves one Uncle, Moe Jones of Mena, Arkansas and two aunts, Margaret Turner of Fairland, Ok and Iris Jones of Albuquerque, NM. Many nieces and nephews; Allison Sellers, Ashley Santana, Savanah Bishop, Sebastian Bishop, Ray Bishop, Mario Leslie, Anthony Leslie, Nathan Leslie, Joshua Avalos, and Priscilla Avalos, as well as many cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention here.
Funeral services for Stacy Kristen (Goff) Leslie will be conducted on February 23rd, 2023 at 10:00am at Keefeton Freewill Baptist Church at 11701 US 64, Muskogee, OK. Following services, the family will meet at 2:30 PM at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Grove, OK at 24201 South 595 Road. She will have a visitation on Wednesday, February 22nd, 2023 at Reed-Culver Funeral Home from 1:00pm until 5:00pm.
Pallbearers for Stacy include: Michael Goff, Mario Esquivel, Jake Walker, Jake Lawson, Ray Bishop and Sebastian Bishop. Her Honorary Pallbearers include: Moe Jones, Donnie Hill, Joshua Blundell, Danny Barks, Phillip Suggs, and Gary Plunket.
In lieu of floral tributes, the family ask that you consider a remembrance donation to the Keefeton Freewill Baptist Church, the American Cancer Society or St. Judes Children's Hospital and Research Foundation.
