Sheila Ann Hilderbrand

Sheila Ann Hilderbrand was born on October 3rd, 1970 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of William and Nancy (Welch) Chuculate. She was raised with two sisters and one brother, Adam, Laura and LaDonna. She attended school at Oaks through Junior High then transferred to Westville for high school. Sheila was the best big sister, always taking the blame for the other children, wanting to spare them punishment. She would meet her best friend and the love of her life, Timmy Hilderbrand while attending high school, and they married on August 22nd. 1987 at Johnny Cheaters residence. They raised a family of two sons and one daughter, Cody Malachi, who passed in infancy, Timisha, and Dyron. Sheila was happy to be a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, in her own home, surrounded by those she loved. She was a very accomplished seamstress, making pillows, clothes and anything else her family needed. She was very good at cooking and made fry bread, chicken and dumplings and the best banana pudding. When she was young, she sang in a gospel group, the Chuculate Family Singers, often playing bass as well. She loved singing the old gospel favorites, and spent every weekend at a gospel singing somewhere in the area. Sheila loved people. Was easy going, had a great sense of humor and couldn’t wait to see you laugh. She had no problem telling you that her family was first and foremost in her life. She adored her grandchildren and they were perfect in Grandma Sheila’s eyes. She kept Tim informed on the latest news and knew everything new in the neighborhood. There was nothing better than a quiet night at home watching movies, like Downton Abbey, and teasing Tim, she loved to see him smile. Animals had a friend in Sheila, there were any number of cats outside, she named each and every one. A Baptist by faith, Sheila was a member of Vann Lake Baptist Church all of her adult life. The Lord called this wonderful caring woman home from her many labors on August 17th, 2021 at Tahlequah, OK. Sheila was 50 years old and leaves a void that will never be filled.

She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Cody Malachi, one grandson, Dalton Hilderbrand, maternal grandparents, Tom Welch and Jesse Cochran-Welch and her paternal grandparents, Henry and Lucinda Chuculate. She also joins a great grandmother, Lucinda Drywater, her mother and father, her Uncle, Bill Drywater and her Aunt, Lucille Henson.

Those left to cherish her memory include, her beloved husband Tim Hilderbrand of the home in Watts, and her two children, Timisha Jenkins and her husband, Phillip of Ft. Gibson, OK, and Dyron Hilderbrand and wife Kayla of Chewey, OK. She leaves two sisters and one brother, Laura Chuculate and companion, Kyle Forrest of Scraper, OK, LaDonna Chuculate and Companion Steve of Kansas, OK,a nd Adam Chuculate and wife Amanda of Rocky Ford, OK. Sheila lives on in her seven grandchildren, Haeyden Hilderbrand of Ft. Gibson, Rylan Jenkins of Ft.Gibson, Gunner Jenkins of Ft. Gibson, Isaac Hilderbrand of Chewey, OK, Jessie –Mae Hilderbrand of Chewey, OK, and Cayleigh Jenkins of Ft. Gibson, OK. She also leaves her aunts and uncles, Aunt Ailene Christie of Hulbert, OK, Uncle Billie Joe Whitekiller, Uncle Larry Drywater and wife Sandy of Broken Arrow, OK, and Uncle Don Henson of Hulbert, OK, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousin and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
