Scott Allen Martin was born on March 31st, 1971 in Tahlequah, OK, the son of Billy Jack and Linda Jane (Workman) Martin. Scott grew up with his brother, Jessie. He attended high school in Tahlequah and enjoyed wrestling in school, and was friends with everyone. After he graduated in 1989, he began his studies at Northeastern State University in 1994 and graduated with his bachelors and his membership of Kappa Sigma. He had the devilish grin and the sense of humor to get into mischief and give you a good laugh for all the effort. He was easy to talk to, made friends at the drop of a hat, and loved experiencing new people and new places. He might not always have a lot to say, but he sure knew how to listen well. He absolutely loved music of all genres and wouldn’t hesitate to share his latest Spotify with you even in the wee hours of the morning. He couldn’t wait for the holidays to roll around so he could spend time with the family he adored, sharing a meal and the days conversation. He had recently worked in a factory making pet food and enjoyed the days spent with co workers. He passed from this life all too soon, on November 10th, 2022 in Miami, OK. He was 51 years old and will be greatly missed by all those that knew him and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Rae Workman, one uncle, Jerry Workman, and his mother and father.
Those left to celebrate his life include his brother, Jessie Martin of Tahlequah, OK. He also leaves his grandfather, Thomas Workman of Stilwell, OK, his Uncle Russ Workman and wife Dena of Lincoln, AR, and his cousins, Andrea Barnett and husband Scott of Springdale, AR and Deana Allen and husband Jim of Fayetteville, AR, as well as many friends and a host of loved ones and co workers too numerous to mention.
