Samuel Isaiah Deckard, or better known as Sammy by his family and friends, was born June 10th, 1991 to Edward Taft Deckard Jr. and Tammy Denise Deckard at Hastings Hospital in Tahlequah, OK. Sammy was born a preemie at 5lbs, 9oz and has brought great joy to his family.
Sammy, the youngest of four, is preceded in death by sister, Miranda Carmen Deckard. He leaves behind his parents, Edward and Tammy Deckard of the home, his sister, Amanda Deckard and her children, Elexis, Jeremy and Adleigh, his brother Emmanuel Deckard and his children Ellie-Mae, Eli, and Levan as well as many loved ones.
Sammy lived a life cared for by his parents and Dr. James Lewis (Sammy’s adopted grandpa) and surrounded by loved ones. Although Sammy may have not lived a traditional life of a 31 year old, he never knew what it was to not be loved and cherished. All those who knew Sammy have lost a small piece of their heart; the mark he left will not soon be forgotten.
Until we see you again, completely whole, in the arms of Jesus!
