Ruby L. Russell

Ruby Russell passed away to be with her Lord on January 13, 2021 at the age of 98. She was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on March 5, 1922 where she lived most of her life, and attended Grace Baptist Church. She was inducted into Eastern Stars in 1965 and was an active member of the Westville Chapter. She retired from Northeastern University where she worked as a librarian. In 2006, she moved to La Porte, Texas to be near family and was residing there at the time of her death on January 13, 2021.

Ruby is preceded in death by her parents Euel and Ella Miller, ex-husband Verne Russell, siblings Ralph Miller of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Euel Miller of Chanute , Kansas, Willard Miller of Cherokee, Oklahoma, Mollie Hicks of Muskogee, Oklahoma and granddaughter Christine Stockdale of Taos, New Mexico.

She is survived by her children Cynthia Ann Boaze of La Porte, Texas, Pamela Sue Byers of Springfield, Missouri, and Robert Lloyd Russell of Baytown, Texas; grandchildren Thomas A. Hodge of La Porte, Texas, Angela Stockdale of Bowman, North Dakota, and Justin Russell of Dayton, Texas; great grandchildren Dylan Stockdale of Springfield, Missouri and Brianna Mondragon of Taos, New Mexico, as well as, multiple nieces and nephews residing in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.

Graveside services for Ruby will be held Friday, January 22, 2021 at 2:00pm at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Tahlequah. Online condolences for he family may be left at www.reedculver.com
