Rosa McClure was born on January 14th, 1961 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of Ross Roger and Betsy (Adair) Farmer Sr. She graduated from Hulbert High School and on June 22nd, 1984, married her sweetheart, Lonnie Eugene McClure in Miami, OK. This union was blessed with two sons and one daughter, Joseph Rian, Roger Brian, and Loni Marlene. Rosa worked as a teachers aide in the Hulbert School System. She was always happy and smiling, possessed a great sense of humor and loved to joke. There were no strangers in Rosa’s life. Children were precious to her and every student she worked with was wonderful. She always seemed to know just what to say and do to make their days a little better. Every spare moment in her life was spent with her family, she adored them! Her grandchildren made her smile and she was so very proud of every single accomplishment. She enjoyed crafting, often making signs and costumes for her church. She collected crosses in her home, they were a constant reminder of the relationship she had with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a member of Swimmer Baptist Church and never missed the chance to share her love of God and witnessed to everyone who would hear her. She was loving and sincere, always looking to make a home for her husband, children, grandchildren and many family members. She was a determined woman who continued her work, even when afflicted with cancer. The Lord called this good and faithful servant to her rest on Sunday, December 13th, 2015 at her home in Hulbert, OK, surrounded by those who loved her most. Rosa was 54 years old. She leaves a vacancy that can never be filled.
Rosa is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Phyllis Henson, Rosie Farmer (her twin by birth), and Rebecca Farmer. She had a brother, Joseph and a niece, Leslie Kilpatrick, that also preceded her in death.
