Robert “Bob” Roberts began his life’s journey on May 24, 1929, in Timbo, Arkansas. He was the son of James William Henry and Atha Serene (Williams) Roberts. He met his wife, Sadie, at church in Peoria, Arizona, and they were married on July 24, 1948, and spent 67 years together.
At the age of 26, along with Sadie and their three children, he began his ministry as an evangelist, and pastored his first church in a brush arbor in Grand Junction, Colorado. To support his family and to serve his pioneering ministry, Bob taught himself all the jobs of a general contractor. His son, David, was his helper from the age of six years old.
For the next thirty-five years, the Roberts Family continued serving God by building and/or pastoring churches in Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arizona and Washington State. Bob’s ministry with The Pentecostal Church of God included serving as Youth Director for the State of Colorado and Superintendent for the State of New Mexico.
In his spare time Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, and all types of outdoor activities, including hunting and fishing.
Bob completed his journey on November 21, 2015, in Tahlequah, OK at the age of eighty-six, and went home to be with his Lord. He is greatly missed by all his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Howard Roberts, and three sisters, Ruth Nazar, Ruby Earnhart and Jodene Roberts.
