Passed away on June 13, 2016. He was a graduate of Hiawatha High School, Hiawatha, KS, learning to play the game of chess while in high school. He became an expert at solving chess problems and went on to win many contests and trophies.
He was a member of the First Christian Church at Hiawatha. Graduating from Highland Jr. College, Highland, KS., he made a career of the U.S. Air Force, which took him to Olathe, KS., the Philippines (where he met his first wife, Evelyn), Washington DC., and Tampa, Florida.
He was a giving person; he helped care for his aging mother, volunteered in the community where he retired (Tahlequah, OK.), by helping at the Senior luncheon and by teaching the city's young people to play chess.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, John Robert Moore (Dorothy).
Surviving; a brother Larry (Rheta) Moore, of Topeka KS. Sister, Bonnie (Larry) Hossfeld, of Saint Joseph, MO. Ex-wives; Evelyn, Penny, and Ginny and his present wife, Debbie. Daughter, Melody Moore, Atlanta GA. and son Winston (Amanda) Moore, Seffner, FL. and four grandchildren.
He has been cremated.
