WELLING, OK- Graveside services for Ricky Dean Pigeon will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2014 at the Weeley Cemetery near Welling, OK. The family of Ricky will have a time of sharing at the cemetery. Online condolences for the family may be left at www.reedculver.com.
Pallbearers for Ricky include Gary Davis, Thomas Davis, Brent Pigeon, Jason Humphrey, Jesse Pigeon, and Ronnie Pigeon. Honorary pallbearers include Henry Holcomb and Lamon Weese.
Ricky Dale Pigeon was born on June 8th, 1960, the twin brother of Roger Pigeon, and the son of Watie Richard and Clara Frances (Dawson) Pigeon in Tahlequah, OK. He attended school at Etta, Tenkiller and Tahlequah, OK. Upon finishing school, he began his working career as an electrician for both Red Simpson and Davis Electric Companies. Whenever he had some free time, you could find Ricky relaxing while fishing or playing guitar and drums singing rock and roll. Ricky was very sociable and loved to talk and have fun with his friends. He always had time for his brother and best friend, Roger Pigeon. They had so many good times together. Ricky was proud of his heritage; his parents raised him in the Keetoowah faith in the GA DU WA WHA GI. Family was the most important part of Ricky’s day. He adored his son, Jesse, and he was so very proud of his three wonderful grandchildren, Jordan, Larrissa, and Bella Pigeon. They were his best buddies and pals. Ricky’s health began to fail and he passed from this life into the next on August 28th, 2014 in Tulsa, OK. Ricky was 54 years old. He will be greatly missed by the many friends and family who knew him and cherished his life.
Ricky is preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother, Roger in 2011.
Ricky will be lovingly remembered by his son, Jesse Dean Pigeon of Westville, OK, as well as two brothers, Walter Pigeon and wife Joyce of Welling and Randy Joe Pigeon and wife Ginger of Welling, OK. His love of life and legacy live on in his three grandchildren, Jordan, Larrissa, and Bella Pigeon all of Rogers, AR, cousins Thomas and Gary Davis of Welling, OK, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
