Priscilla LaJune Price Blair, or Pat, Grandma or Nanny to her family, was born on Tuesday, September 8th, 1942 in Plymouth, IN, the daughter of John George and Rosemary LaJune (Krieg) Price. There were two other children in the family, Johnny Eugene and Ellen Marie. Her father was a cook in the US Army and she traveled around with him whenever possible. When that wasn’t possible, she stayed with Grandma Brummett, and she adored her. Her father had the ability to forage in the wild and harvest enough of natures bounty for a wonderful meal, polk salad, from mushrooms to wild onions, he could find and prepare them. She attended school in Hulbert, growing up in the Ranger Creek area, where she learned to skate and walk long distances to school. When she had finished school, she then began her family, raising four sons and one daughter, Floyd, Anita, Michael, and twins Billy and Bobby. She was never one to let the day pass her by, so she was always working. She worked at the Tahlequah Clothing factory as a seamstress, as a Sanitation Technician and as a Walmart Associate in Wagoner. Her spare time was equally busy, hunting, fishing, sewing quilting, and crafting. She was a really good cook and was the lady who coined the phrase, everything goes down better with gravy, made a great jello poke cake, green bean casserole, and you hadn’t lived until you had her pickled beet eggs! Sheer delight. She would jump into the car any chance she got to go to Branson, even a trip around the town was fun for her. She attended and was married in Faith Worship Center to Allen Blair in January of 1998. They were married for 19 wonderful years. We all called Allen Pop, or Poppy. They would go hunting and fishing together and had a wonderful life. They would sing songs together sitting in their living room. Allen took very good care of our mom, Priscilla and we all miss him deeply. After Allen had passed away mom would always say how much she missed him and she was ready to go see him. Now mom and Allen's first wife are up in heaven telling stories about Pop. Mom attended Bible study at her daughters house. She often told them the spirit of the Lord was present when they studied. She sang the old gospel favorites and the fifties and sixties was also a big favorite. She had a fun sense of humor and liked to tease and pose for snap chat filters. She couldn’t be happier than when she was with her family, grands and great grandchildren. She never let them leave without first telling them “I love you with all my heart!”, and she meant it. After Allen passed from this life, she kept busy with her family and friends but always talked of the day they were together again. Her health faded, her spirit did not, and she went to her Eternal home on Saturday, December 14th, 2019 in Wagoner, OK. She was 77 years old.
She is preceded in death by her husband Allen Lee Blair, her grandparents, Henry and Glady (Doll) Kreig, Homer and Myrtle (Hendershot) Price, also known as Grandma Brummett, her mother and father, her brother and sister, and her grandson, Adam.
