Michelle attended Tahlequah High School and from there, worked at Southside Drive-in before earning her certification in Business Technology. This certification opened up an opportunity to work for Cherokee Nation in Career Services for many years. Michelle took pride in her work and truly enjoyed the people she worked with. She had many hobbies and interest; always reading up on something new to learn and try. Most of her time was spent with close family and friends. Michelle’s door was always open for anyone wanting to come by for a visit. She loved having company, joking around and laughing; her smile alone could light up a room. Michelle was there for anyone who needed a friend and willing to help anyway she could. She lived by the Golden Rule, treating others with kindness and respect. Michelle taught us to see the best in any situation and to never give up. In April 2022, she suffered a stroke which presented many everyday challenges, yet she did not let that stop her; re-learned how to eat, talk, walk, and write, all on her own. Michelle was taken too soon; spending her last days with her children, filled with good times, laughter and love. She was loved by the many people blessed to cross her path in this lifetime. All the different memories we each have of her, will be with us always. She will be truly missed.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Marissa Ann Hardman.
Her legacy lives on through her four children, Nakiah Morning Star Nofire, Larry Kala Nofire III, Aleah Raye Cloud and Aliveah Jayde Cloud as well as two cherished grandchildren, Kalani Raine Nofire and Kenai Michael Sabaque-Nofire. She will also be remember by her brother Samuel Dreadfulwater as well as many other friends and loved ones.
