Megan Miracle Sue Rose Philpott was born on a beautiful summer’s day on June 20th, 2002 in Tulsa, OK, the daughter of Dustin Meigs and Brandi Romaine (Daugherty) Philpott. She has five sisters, Jessica, Addison, Rachelle, Elizabeth and Kalysta, and two brothers, Chase and Gage. There are certain people born that just possess something so special, you know you have a very special person in your life. This was Megan. She attended school in Woodall until the 8th grade, and then graduated from Keys High School. From the minute you met Megan, she was a friend for life who was always happy to see you and never forgot your name, (it was one of her many gifts), and loved you just the way you were, no need to change. There was something magical about the movies, and boy did she like watching the movies. Some of her favorites were “Four Brothers” with Mark Wahlburg, “Willy Wonka” with Johnny Depp, “Eight Seconds” with Lane Frost, and “Where the Red Fern Grows”. She liked to express her artistic side, making slime, learning games on the computer, color, and looking at pictures on everyone’s phone, and playing with baby dolls Woody and Jessie. If she was talking, you needed to listen, and then there were her many colorful expressions. When meeting you for the first time, “what’s up buddy”, she would introduce herself and then talk to you. Mom says you don’t talk to strangers so she made sure she introduced herself first before talking. She tucked her baby dolls in with “give me kiss”, there was the occasional “drive like you stole it” comment and Tyler was the frequent recipient of “kiss me tomorrow”, “I’ll bite your face off” ”Whatever!!” and “I’ll knock you out Whitler!” Her melodious voice could be heard singing away at her Nana, “I love my Nana Nana, because she’s my Nana Nana” and Nana would return the song with “I love my Megan Megan.” The colors of the rainbow were hers to spread, like sunshine, in purples, yellows, and reds. She kept her Momma and Nana safe in her care, she kept the peace, she was always happy and a true angel. This beautiful angel returned to the place beyond the blue, where she flies free and happy, no restraints, no sickness, no pain. She was 21 years old. She has taken a little piece of all those who loved her and will miss this angel with laughter in her wings.
She has gone home to her great grandparents, Terry and Lucille Samples, her Papa Jimmy Whitewater, great aunt, Tina Hamilton, great uncle, Gary Studie, great grandparents, Van and Susie Peebles, papa Jack Philpott, great great aunt, Dorothy Peebles, and a cousins, Austin Philpott.
