Mary Sue (Sugar) Welch, or Sue to her family and friends, was born on Tuesday, August 11th, 1942 in Flagstaff, AZ, the daughter of Chris and Johnnie Mae (Childers) Sugar. She grew up in a household with one brother, Chris and one sister, Margaret. She married Noah Welch and together they raised one son, Scott Sapulpa. She worked retail for a short time and the rest of her time was spent making a home for her family. Her family was everything to Sue. She loved gathering them for a special holiday meal, especially Thanksgiving or Christmas. She would always decorate for the day and make it as festive as possible. If she could convince her family to watch her favorite holiday movie, Christmas Vacation, it was even better. She had a beautiful smile and a warm and loving heart. Sue loved every moment with her family and grandchildren, who were her world. She was a great wife and wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. Sue left this world early in the morning on Friday, November 1st, 2019 in Tulsa, OK. She was 77 years old and will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father.
Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband, Noah Welch of the home, son, Scott Sapulpa of Muskogee, OK, brother, Chris Sugar and wife Verlita of Lost City, OK, and sister, Margaret Love of Kansas City, MO. Among those left behind are grandchildren, Sydney Sapulpa, Cannon Sapulpa and Scout Sapulpa along with a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
