Mary Ann Briggs Fritts, or “Hennie,” was the daughter of Bertie Briggs and Narcissa Chair Briggs, passed away during the early morning hours of October 31, 2019 at the age of 86 years old in the holler where she grew up. Hennie loved her church and church family; she treasured being surrounded in the outdoors and especially loved fishing for perch with her old trusty cane pole. She loved gathering her wild onions, greens and mushrooms when they were in season and enjoyed sharing her gatherings with friends and family. She went to church and faithfully served the Lord Jesus Christ and loved spending time with and taking care of her family.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by parents Bertie and Narcissa, her husband Dwain “Dude” Fritts, one son David Fritts, one daughter Dana Delayne Fritts Stanley, three brothers, three sisters, nine nephews, two nieces and one great niece.
