Martha (Scraper) Sixkiller was born, February 1, 1979 in Claremore, OK, the daughter of Vincent Scraper and Sally Ann (Hicks) Adcock. After graduating high school, she married her best friend, Michael Sixkiller on July 16, 1997. They were blessed with two children, Scott and Justin. Martha’s love of being a mom extended far beyond her two boys. She shared that same compassion to everyone around her, including her beloved cats and even into her profession as a Personal Care Aide. She was a bit of prankster and had a contagious laugh that brought life to any room; never missed an opportunity to get a rise out someone and put a smile on their face. She was always up for a good time, whether it be out at the casino or fun at the Haunted Castle. With a passion for cooking, if she wasn’t watching reality TV or playing MMORPGs, the cooking channel was surely on. She loved to eat and enjoyed sharing a great meal at the family get-togethers. She had décor to celebrate every season and went all out for holidays, especially the 4th of July and Christmas. Despite the health struggles over the years, family was her world and Martha was sure to cherish every moment with them and her nieces and nephews. A Christian by faith and member of Cedar Tree Baptist Church, Martha was called home on October 5, 2023 at the age of 44 years old. The joy that she brought to those who knew her will never be forgotten.
She has went on to join her parents, one son, Justin James Sixkiller, one sister, Mary Vanessa Skaggs and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Michael Allen Sixkiller and son, Michael Scott of the home in Park Hill. She also leaves her brother, Nathaniel Barnoskie of Fort Gibson, brother-in-law, J.T. Skaggs of Checotah, three uncles, Alvin Hicks of Woodall, Leroy Hicks of Park Hill, Mark Walker of Tahlequah and two aunts, Marilyn Weaver and Susie Walker, both of Tahlequah. Her legacy lives on through her nephews and one niece, Robert Skaggs of Checotah and Noah and Mila Barnoskie of Fort Gibson as well as a host of friends, loved ones and her many beloved cats.
