Loyd Leo Boston

Loyd Leo Boston began lifes journey on October 7, 1953 in Wagoner, OK the son of Francis Kenneth and Beulah Mae (Dill) Boston. He was one of 11 children to bless this house. Loyd was a Hulbert high school graduate. He married the love of his life, Carolyn Caviness in 1975. Loyd made a living for his family as a roofer among many other things in the construction industry. Always a hard worker, he loved his family more than anything, and never failed to provide for his wife and six children. No matter how busy life would get he refused to miss an OU football game, becoming very frustrated when a family member tried to have him help replace a water heater during a game. When football season was over, Loyd could be found sitting in the yard relaxing with a cold beer, or enjoying the sound of the water down at the creek. He spent a lot of time just taking in all the good things in life like backroading in his truck and spending time with his amazing family. Time was never better spent then having Sunday dinners at 1:00 pm that never started until 6:00pm with all the kids and grandkids gathered around. Sunday dinners were his favorite event, but he made a point to never miss a family function to make memories with the ones he loved so dearly. Loyd was an amazing person that will be missed by all his friends and family.

On July 8, 2021 Loyd was called from this life to reunite with family that passed before him, his parents, one son Phillip Boston, two brothers; Don Boston, and Grover Boston, and four sisters Charlene Howard, Ailene Stewart, Kathy Hargrove, and Retha Johnson.

Left to hold the memories his journey created include, his wife, Carolyn of the home, five daughters: Amy Thilges and husband Toy of Locust Grove, OK, Kristie Boston of Hulbert, OK, Stephanie Brown and husband Jesse of Hulbert, OK, Carrie Boston and husband Matthew Hamilton of Sallisaw, OK and Sherry Carl of Wagoner, OK, three brothers; Richard Boston and wife Christine, Bill Boston and wife Wanda and Louie Boston and Wife Wanda, one sister, Judy Speece and husband Dave, 11 grandchildren: Mollee and Maggee Thilges, Tyler Boston, Gracie and Madison Jones, and Adrian and Abby Fortner, Brenna Leach, Cali Brown, Brayden Rodriguez, Kylie and Kaydence Hamilton and Stephanie, Bentley and Boston Carl, and great grandchildren, Clay Bowlin and Aubrey Parsons as well as, many other family and loved ones.

Funeral Services for Loyd Boston will be held 2:00pm, Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Reed-Culver with Bro. Charles Whitekiller officiating. Burial will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Hulbert, OK. Serving as pallbearers will be: Herman Henson, Sid Whitekiller, Toy Thilges, Jesse Brown, Tyler Boston, Kenny Boston, Joseph Caviness, and Silas Carl. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Don Henson, Terry Shade, JD Smith, Dave Wilson, Matt Hamilton, and Manuel Rodriguez.
