Angie Marie Ross, also known by her family and friends as “Liz”, went to be with the Lord on March 16, 2024 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on October 3, 1964 to Jack and Rosemary Ross. Liz attended Porter Public Schools and finished through her 11th grade year. Liz fell in love with Darryl Young in 1988 and started a life full of love, laughter, and Jesus together. They married July 3rd, 1988. After many years, they were blessed with Paige Young who is the light of their life together.
Liz had an appreciation for all the things and people in her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was known to put on a great party that would bring the family together. She could haggle at the garage sales with the best of them, and her garage sale was known across the land. She liked taking day trips out of town to shop for her latest purse. She especially loved to travel and enjoyed all her trips to see family and friends in North Carolina. When she was at home, she adored her cooking shows and cooking biscuits, fry bread and breakfast for anyone who stayed with her. During the holidays, she was known for her famous dressing. When Paige spread her wings and moved out of the childhood home, Knox added a new light into the Home.
Above all things, Liz loved the Lord and serving him whenever she could. She was a gospel singer at heart and loved singing, whether on stage or in the pew. She was an active member at Steely Springs Church and served wherever the Lord called her.
Liz is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Rosemary Ross, maternal grandparents, Joe and Lucy Drywater and paternal grandmother, Maggie Cummings. She also goes on to join her mother and father-in-law, Ben and Margie Young, great nephew, Niko Jones as well as many other family and friends.
Liz leaves behind her husband, Darryl “Ralph” Young of the home, daughter, Paige Young and Santos Sanchez of Tahlequah, OK, brothers, Anthony Drywater of Tahlequah, OK and Nikki Ross and wife Sunrise Ross of Coweta, OK, along with one sister, Jamie Walters of Tahlequah, OK, sisters-in-law, Debbie Young of Tulsa, OK and Donna Young of Coweta, OK. Her memory lives on through her nieces, Jalisa Pearson and husband Matthew Pearson of Broken Arrow, OK, Chelsea Ross of Bixby, OK, Jordan Greywolf of Huntington Beach, CA, Jessica Calcote and Janessa Smith of Tahlequah, OK, nephews, Shawn McLaren and Destiny Nunn of Tahlequah, OK, Jackson Ross of Seminole, OK, Trevor Walters, Eric Walters, and Jack Walters, all of Tahlequah, OK, two great nephews, Stetson and Kaison Calcote and one great niece Braylie Calcote along with a host of many more nieces and nephews.
