Linda Joann (Quinton) Wolfe, or Jodi to her family and friends, was born on December 7th, 1948 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of Lewis Leon and Lela Mae (Spears) Quinton. She attended and graduated from East Central High School in Tulsa, OK. She worked as a Medical Secretary at WW Hastings Hospital, and Cox Health Center in Cassville, MO. On December 8th, 1984, she married the love of her life and her best friend, Gordon Ray Wolfe. They enjoyed 31 years of love and living, while they raised their children, one son, Anthony Lewis Wolfe and one daughter, Catherine LeAnn. She enjoyed her time away from work curled up with a good book, perhaps a little historical romance, or creating something with her hands , crocheting, embroidery, or cross stitching. She was blessed with a beautiful voice, and she in turn, blessed her friends at church by singing the old gospel and western favorites, and occasionally weddings. She liked to surprise her family by making her wonderful holiday candy, her peanut brittle being a family favorite. She also made a wonderful pan of homemade rolls or her famous pot of brown beans and cornbread. Once you saw Jodi smile, you felt she had been your friend for life. She was warm and friendly, and had a loving hug for each and every person she met. She was a Christian by faith and a member of Southside Baptist Church in Tahlequah. She liked time spent with her church family, and adored each and every moment she spent with her adored grandchildren. They were such a source of pride and inspiration to her. As much as we would have liked to keep her here with us, the Lord called this good and faithful servant home from her labors on June 23rd, 2016 in Branson, MO with her family close by her side. She was 67 years old. She leaves an empty space that no one else can ever fill.
She has gone home to her parents, and her grandparents, Violet Mae Skinner, Clarence Carey, and Cornelius and Kate Quinton.
Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband, Gordon and Molly of the home in Branson, MO, her son, Anthony Lewis Wolfe and wife Carrie Ann of St. Robert, MO, stationed at Ft. Bliss, TX, and daughter Catherine LeAnn Green of Wilburton, OK. She has two sisters, Elsie Cook of Collinsville, OK and Joyce Newton and husband Gary of Eldon Community, OK. She lives on in her three very special grandchildren, Shelby Lund and husband Samuel of Springfield, MO, Christian Green and wife Kelsey of Ft. Gibson, OK, and Hannah Wolfe of St. Robert, MO, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
