Funeral services for Levi Carter will be held on Friday, March 20th, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Reed-Culver Chapel with Bro. Mathew Lawrence. Visitation will be Thursday from noon until 6:00 PM. Online condolences for his family may be left at www.reedculver.com.
Pallbearers for Levi include Dwight Fountain, Mike Sheets, Zack Frazier, Randy Fountain, Jimmy Caudill and Jim Robbins.
Levi Carter was born on August 12th, 1937 in Park Hill, OK, the son of Frank and Cora (Carr) Carter, raised with his brother and sister. He attended school at Carter. Levi was a rancher his entire life. He loved the outdoors, and had great satisfaction watching his herds of cattle. His constant companion and friend was his horse, Bar. Spare time found Levi at his favorite fishing spot, relaxing in the sun. He enjoyed a good story and told a few himself. He was very proud of his family and enjoyed any chance to gather for the holidays to share a meal. Levi passed from this life on Monday, March 16th, 2015 at the age of 77 years.
Levi is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Cora Carter, one son, Johnny Lee Carter, and two brothers, Frank Allen Carter and Billy Carter.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Louise Mahaney , and two grandchildren, David Lee Carter and Jenny Brackett. He leaves five great grandchildren: Austen, Ashlyn, Baylor and Cash Carter, and Addi Brackett two nephews, Justin Ryals and wife Kim, and Colton Hamby, nieces Rhonda Mahaney and Courtney Frits and husband Justin, two great nephews, Cash and Caden Ryals, one great nephew, Kyler Frits, and a very special friend. Freida Gates, as well as a host of friends and loved ones.
