Kristen "Sissy" Cherié Dunn

Kristen Cherié Dunn, or affectionately known as Sissy by her family and friends, was born on October 5, 1982, the daughter of Franklin Floyd and Carolyn J (Jumper) Dunn. She was raised along with her three siblings in the Tahlequah area and a graduate of Sequoyah High School. During her school years, she played on the school softball team as well as a traveling team for Phillips 66. She later continued her education to earn her certification as a CNA. Kristen loved every moment of being out in nature and had the most beautiful flower gardens. She was always up for a good road trip or cookout at the river to swim and hang out with her girls. One of her favorite spots to visit was Earbob down in Peggs with her friend, Ronnie Jones Jr. Kristen had a way of lighting up a room; singing, laughing and joking around. She loved music of all kinds and spent time writing stories about her different experiences and stories of her daughters. Kristen was caring and loved everyone she met. On Saturday, December 16, 2023, she passed from this life at the age of 41 years old. This loving mother, daughter, sister and friend will be dearly missed.

Those that have gone on before her include her father and grandparents.

Her memory lives on through her mother, Carolyn J Dunn and two daughters, Kamea Cherié and Kinsey Brianna Pritchett of the home. She will also be remembered by her brother Jason Dunn and wife Jennifer of Bixby, OK, two sisters, Amanda Dunn of Tahlequah, OK and Haley Dunn and husband George McGowin of Tahlequah, OK, four nephews, Jeriah Scott, Keeyan Kingfisher, Roman Dunn and Myles McGowin, one niece, Rylie Dunn and her very dear friend, Melinda Meigs of Briggs, OK as well as many other friends and loved ones.

Funeral services for Kristen will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 10:00am at Reed-Culver Chapel with Pastor DJ McCarter officiating. She will be laid to rest at Tahlequah City Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers include Jeriah Scott, Ronnie Jones Jr., Dakiah Meigs, Keeyan Kingfisher, George McGowin, Jason Dunn and Carl Rossignol Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Eli Page, Aaron Page and Roman Dunn.

A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 1:00pm until 5:00pm at Reed-Culver Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left for the Dunn family at www.reedculver.com
