John Christopher Tiger was born on December 25th, 1969 in Claremore, OK, the son of Malcom and Juanita Faye (Tiger) Folsum and Richard Irons. John attended Stilwell High School till the 11th grade. He was an amazing athlete. All he ever asked and expected was for you to give 100%, whether it is sports or any of life’s adventures. He married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Shannon Lynn (Nakedhead) Tiger in July 3rd, 1992 in Stilwell, OK. Together, they were blessed with five wonderful children, Bethany, Courtney, Amy, William, and Anthony Tiger. He enjoyed spending time with his children, his wife and all his other family and friends. He was a very happy and proud grandpa to his only grandson, Koda (Tiger) Dew. John enjoyed watching his children play sports and as a former athlete himself, John was an avid Sequoyah High School fan. He always tried to be at every game for his daughters and sons. John was very proud of his children’s, niece’s and nephew’s athletic and academic accomplishments. He was a huge Pittsburg Steelers fan and his favorite rock group was KISS but of course he enjoyed a variety of all kinds of music. He loved to sing. He was often known as the “Human Jukebox”. He could sing just about any song, word for word. John had a huge personality. He loved joking around, laughing, making others laugh and making everyone feel accepted and at home. John’s family and friends meant a lot to him. It didn’t matter if it was at a game or a get together, playing games, he just liked having a good time. He cherished every minute he spent with them. John loved sending his weekly Friday text message to his friends and enjoyed the many responses he would receive back. He liked to draw and dance. Family was very important to John. John was the father figure in the family and embraced this whole-heartedly. He had much respect for his family and elders and expected his children, nieces and nephews to show that respect to others as well. John Tiger was one of those genuine persons whom, if you encountered him for the first time, you would always remember him. He knew how to make an impression on others in a positive way and everyone just thought the world of him. On August 28th, 2014, John was called to his eternal home to be with the many loved ones that have gone on before him. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but will always be forever in our hearts.
