Funeral services for Joe Dale Jones will be held on Thursday, March 31st, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel with Pastor Dwain Denney officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 30th, 2016 from noon until 6:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel. Interment will be held at Hendricks Cemetery in Tahlequah, OK. Pallbearers for Joe Dale Jones include Donald Crawford, John Pearson, Dana Hazzard, Larry Gladd, Jerry Gladd, and Billy McCause. Honorary pallbearers include Mark Lemond, Justin Jones, and Derek Davidson.

Joe Dale Jones was born on August 7th, 1944 in Tahlequah, OK, the son of Reece and Christine (Springer) Jones. He attended and graduated from Tahlequah High School, then began classes at NSU. He made his living as a carpenter working in construction, a job he loved and excelled at, producing beautiful woodwork. He was blessed with a quick wit, and a sense of humor that immediately put everyone who met him at ease with their new found friend. He had a way of making everyone laugh, and that was his truly unique gift. Whenever he had some spare time, he could be found in the out of doors, fishing, camping, or grilling. He loved to grill, and was quite the chef with fish, ribs, chicken, brisket, or brats. Joe Dale and his friends would grill meat and fry fish to sell on the weekend to make money for various causes needing a financial boost. He enjoyed a good game of golf, and liked playing the guitar and singing country music. He adored his friends and loved watching OU football with them every chance he had. Joe Dale had five grandchildren that he was so very proud of. He enjoyed hearing about their school, their sports, and all of their activities. His health failed him and he passed from this life on March 27th, 2016 in Park Hill, OK. He was 71 years old. He will be missed by his many friends and family alike.

Joe Dale is preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Rosa Springer and his mother and father.

Those left to cherish his memory include one son and two daughters, Brian Dale Jones and wife Kelly of Woodall, OK, Leah Kristen Davidson and husband Danny of Owasso, OK, and Andrea McCause and husband Billy of Tahlequah, OK. He leaves one sister, Rita Parnell of Park Hill, OK. His legacy and love of life live on in his six grandchildren, Ava McCause, Justin Jones and wife Kristen, Sydney Jones, Derek Davidson, Lauren Davidson, and Megan Encinas and husband Robert. He also leaves six great grandchildren, Nolan Jones, Maddox Cobb, Rhett Davidson, Colby Encinas, Kaylie Encinas, and Zoie Encinas, his special aunt, Georgia Springer-Dobbs, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends and loved ones.
