Jessie James was born in Gore OK., on January 10, 1939, the son of Geh-Hue-Gah Noisey. Jessie was the sixth of eight children. Jess grew up and attended school at Gum Springs. He worked at the City of Tulsa for a time in his younger years and later retired to live with his nephew “Homer” in Tulsa. Jess or “Jethro” as he was known by his family and close friends, was a loving and compassionate man who would do anything for his family. He spent many of his later years tending to and caring for his ailing brothers and sisters.
Jess was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine, his sisters Edna Brown, and Nellie Pigeon, his brothers Bobby James and Oscar Noisey, and his nephews Bill Brown and Bill Ross.
Those left to cherish his memory include his brother Charley Williams of Tulsa, John Smith of Gore, Billy “Homer” Pigeon of Tulsa, Clinton Nut of Sallisaw and Danny Hawk of Muskogee, his nieces Betty Lawson of Arizona, Susan Cates of Norman, OK. Carla Shores of Braggs, Renella Capps of Gore, Sandra Craighead of Blackgum, Debbie Newton of Sallisaw, Vickie Noisey of Midwest City, and Sandra Noisey of Midwest City, along with numerous great nieces and nephews.
Jessie will be laid to rest at Warseat Cemetery in Gum Springs, OK.
