James Albert Davis

James Albert Davis was born on July 23rd, 1982 in Siloam Springs, AR, the son of Buddy Joe and Levina Gail (Whorton) Davis. He was raised up with sister Karla, baby Terri Lynn, and brother Benny. James grew up at Rocky Ford and attended school at Oaks. Growing up in the area next to the creeks and streams meant hours of fun swimming with the cousins. When he finished school, he moved to Washington State and then relocated to the Dallas, TX area and lived there until about 2019 when he returned to the home area he loved. He was always in the company of his canine companion Fibi or his cuddly cat Charlie, who passed just a few years ago. He loved any time spent with his family and friends and never met a stranger. He would do anything for anyone that asked. A Christian by faith, he loved the Lord and appreciated all the beauty around him. His was not always an easy life. He had problems like every other man on earth. Yet James always found something to smile about. He passed from this life all too soon on Tuesday, March 11th, 2025 in Tulsa, OK, surrounded by the family that loved him. He was 42 years old and will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Elmer and Dottie Whorton and Albert and Nora Davis. He also joins his Dad, Buddy Joe Davis and his baby sister, Terri Lynn.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Levina Whorton-Davis, and his brother and sister, Karla Stricklen of Westville, OK, and Benny Dodson and wife Michelle of Rocky Ford, OK. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.

Graveside services for James Albert Davis will be held on Thursday, March 13th, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Bill Batt Cemetery with Mr. Mike Forrest officiating. His family will have a visitation from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Reed-Culver Funeral Home.

Pallbearers for James include Decoda Dodson, Eli Dodson, Chais Stricklen, Jesse Stricklen, Adam Maher, and Josh Maher. His honorary pallbearers include Landyn Littlejohn, McCoy Littlejohn and Jason Littlejohn.
