Jacklyn Marie Dobson, or “Missy” or “Jack-o-Lantern” to her family, was born on November 14th, 1996 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of Jack William Dobson Sr. and Carissa Ann (Taylor) Dobson. She attended school in Tahlequah. She started her working career as a food service worker, working at Del Rancho. The first thing you would notice about Jacklyn was her delightful, outgoing personality. When she walked into the room, it lit up with her beautiful smile, and her infectious giggle. Everyone enjoyed her happy attitude first thing in the morning, and she genuinely cared for everyone. When she wasn’t at work, she was spending time with her family and friends. There was nothing better than a day at the creek, or maybe in the kitchen making homemade pizza, or her “light as air biscuits”. She absolutely loved country music and always had it playing in the background. The love of her life was her beloved son, Jace Clinton John Keys, she adored everything he did. She was the self-proclaimed mother hen of the family, and she personally worried herself about her son, parents, brothers, and cousins. She loved to ride her bike, she liked keeping in shape and never had the habit of staying still for long. She was happy to spend time with her companion of four years, Jacob Reasor, they loved every minute they spent together. Her beautiful light was extinguished far too soon on March 19th, 2021 following an accident. She was 24 years old. She leaves a vacant chair that will never be filled.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Claude Taylor, great grandparents, Leo and Louise Taylor, and her paternal grandparents, Jack and Violet Dobson, great grandparents Harry Lee Book and Mary Lou Dobson and Mildred and Walter Stanley.
Those left to celebrate her life include her beloved son, Jace of the home, her mother and father, Jack W. and Carissa of Tahlequah, OK, and her companion, Jacob Reasor of Tahlequah, OK. She leaves two brothers, Jack William Dobson Jr., and Benjamin Alan Lee Dobson both of Tahlequah, OK. She leaves her grandmother, Cordia Barnes of Tahlequah, OK and her aunts, Claudia “Buffy” Taylor, Tracy Pennington (husband Jonathan) all of Tahlequah, OK and her uncles, Richard Dobson, George Dobson, and Corey Taylor (Nikki) all of Tahlequah, OK. She also leaves behind many cousins and many friends and loved ones too numerous to mention here.
