Holly Gale (Tarkington) Kingfisher began her life on November 11, 1958 in Tulsa, OK the daughter of Francis Murry and Neomia Tarkington. Just a few days later, the family moved to California where Sacramento became home. After 10 years and moving back to Oklahoma, she was one of two children to bless the home. Holly went on to finish High School and soon after met the love of her life Ray Kingfisher. They were married on May 1, 1979 and this began one of the hardest and most rewarding jobs of being a homemaker for nearly 43 years. Being a wife and raising six sons and one daughter was the most fulfilling life she could imagine.
Family was her world, and Grandma was the greatest name she ever received. Holly always had a smile to share and truly loved being around people. Being a Christian by faith, she never missed an opportunity to read her bible and share the word of God with others. As a young person she enjoyed playing ball and climbing trees as much as the next kid. In her later years she found peace in dropping a line in her favorite fishing hole, crocheting, or sharing a good laugh with her family and friends. Holly had a wonderful sense of humor and never missed an opportunity to laugh. She had a love for animals as well but she was known for always having a dog in her lap. One great passion for Holly was listening to music. She enjoyed many genres as well as many artists but John Lennon, Willie Nelson, and Waylon Jennings spoke to her heart.
At 63 years of age on February 16, 2022 in Tahlequah, OK, Holly completed this life with family at her side, and went to hear the music in heaven. Holly was an amazing and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister that will be dearly missed by all of her friends, and loved ones.
Greeting her at the gates of heaven include her parents, Francis Murry and Neomia Tarkington as well as other loved ones that have passed before her.
Left to remember the song that is her life include her husband Ray Kingfisher of the home in Tahlequah, OK, one sister Kimberlina Cordero of Miami, FL, five sons; Robert Tarkington of Stilwell, OK, Marjoe Tarkington of Tahlequah, OK, Waylon Tarkington and wife Christina of Georgia, Donald Kingfisher and wife Rachael of Bartlesville, OK, Willie Kingfisher and wife Alex of Oklahoma City, OK and Elijah Kingfisher and wife Kortney of Tahlequah, OK, and one daughter Karma Kingfisher and husband Jonathan of Westville, OK. Her legacy continues in her 15 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
