Heather Drywater, or Girt to her family, was born on August 4th, 1990 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of Emman Lorin and Leslie (Louis) Drywater. She was raised in a family with four sisters and three brothers, Brandon, Jordan, Joaquin, Jessica, Julia, Jacklyn, and Jocelyn. She attended school and then decided on a career as a cashier. She loved people and it showed. She had a big heart and a larger smile, always making feel like you were special. A genuine animal lover, Heather was fond of her feline companion. Traveling was something she enjoyed, and she traveled to New York, Chicago, Texas and begun saving for a trip to Hawaii with her Dad. When she was relaxing at home, she was a football fan and liked watching her favorite team, the Chicago Bears play. Heather was proud of her Native Heritage, she was Cherokee and Lakota Sioux. She made beautiful hand crafted baskets, proudly displaying the traditional designs. She didn’t have a green thumb, but loved to keep flowers around her. She loved a good game of billiards, and any time spent with family and friends. She had a compassionate personality, and even when people were not the kindest to Heather, she never let that stop her from showing kindness to everyone she met. Her life was all too brief, she passed from this life on November 30th, 2023 in Muskogee, OK. She was 33 years old and will greatly missed by the Dad she adored and her many family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Geneva Louis and her paternal grandfather, Lee Buck Drywater.
Those left to cherish her memory include her father Emman Drywater and wife Sharon Kay Armstrong of Tahlequah, OK, and her mother Leslie Drywater of Muskogee, OK.
