Harold Lee Baldridge was born on Thursday, September 17, 1953, in Newton, KS, the son of Orvel “Bud” and Juanita (Sanders) Baldridge. He was raised in a family with six brothers and two sisters, JE, Ruby, Jim, Lorraine, Rick, Charley, Howard, and Orvel. Harold attended school in Wichita and Herington. He then began his service in the Kansas Army National Guard in 1979 where he served honorably for seven years and ten months. He then began raising his family of three sons and one daughter, Brian, Lisa, Jeremy, and Matthew. He worked as a carpenter and also in the family business, the furniture store, and later moving, assembling and tearing down mobile homes. He liked to spend his free time in the outdoors, camping and fishing. Harold also enjoyed attending sporting events of his children and grandchildren and cheering them on. He was their biggest supporter. He was a quiet, laid back man that lived his life just the way he found it. He spent time out in his garden raising beautiful vegetables and even more time smoking his famous ribs for everyone to enjoy. He drove a KATS bus locally for over eight years, and was loved by his clients and co-workers alike. He studied his Bible regularly. He enjoyed time spent over a cup of coffee with fiancé Carol Parish. He liked to see her smile. His health began to fade, and he passed from this life at his home in Park Hill, on Thursday, April 23rd, 2020, surrounded by those who loved him. He was 66 years old.
He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, George Washington and Nannie (Miller) Baldridge, his grandparents William and Retta (West) Baldridge and Albert Jackson and Ava Lue (Gillihan) Sanders, his mother and father, as well as two brothers, JE Chessher and Howard Duane Baldridge and sister, Ruby Chessher-Bergman.
