Gerald Lee Bryan was born on April 14th, 1953 in Tahlequah, OK the son of Travis and Mamie (Rotrammel) Bryan. He attended Tahlequah High School. Gerald, or Jerry to his family and friends, was a truck driver by profession. He loved traveling the highways of the United States. Whenever he wasn’t working, Jerry liked to relax at home and watch old westerns on TV. Since he spent so much time on the road, Jerry loved the old time country and western music that kept him company on his long treks from coast to coast. He loved to watch baseball and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. What was even better for Jerry was watching his own grandchildren play ball or rodeo. He was their number one fan. Jerry had a wry sense of humor, he was quick witted and had some really good “comeback” lines. He loved a good joke and making people smile. Jerry was a Christian by faith. The Lord called Jerry home on July 20th, 2012 in Tulsa, OK. Jerry was 59 years old. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents: Travis and Mamie Bryan, two brothers: Jimmy and Robert Wayne Bryan and his grandparents: Everett and Virgie Bryan.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Tommy Bryan and wife Ruby of Durant, OK and his daughter, Michelle Graham of Park Hill, OK. He leaves one brother, Billy Bryan of Muskogee, OK. His legacy lives on in his four grandchildren, Chase Graham, Max Graham, Hallie Bryan, and Marlee Jo Graham. Jerry had a very special friend in his caregiver, Sara Corn and leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
