Ethan Joe Gentry

Ethan Joe Gentry was born on September 25th, 2003 in Tahlequah, Ok, the son of Sherri L. Mouse- Smith and Jacquelyn Smith. He was raised with his five brothers and two sisters, Peanut Gentry, Brayden Smith, Tye Mouse, Aiden Mouse, Skyler Mouse, Alexandra Scott, and Sabriah Hoover. He attended school at Eufaula Boarding School, transferred to Grandview, and finally Tahlequah High School. While a student, he played football, baseball and basketball, and loved his school friends more than they could ever know. He was funny with the biggest grin and the heart to go with it. Ethan was always ready to spend the day with his family, and his canine companion Max, always together. Any chance to be with his friends, playing Apex, riding on his motorcycle, or heading to the nearest fishing hole, this was a good day for Ethan. He was employed with the City of Tahlequah, OK, in the Sanitation Department and enjoyed working, meeting people and saving his check for his next project. He loved time spent with his high school sweetheart, Kianna Shelton, and together they enjoyed all the adventures they could find. If he couldn’t make you laugh, or tell you a joke, you were not enjoying Ethan. He was a Mama’s boy that liked music, especially Aaron May. He left the world all too soon, on September 5th, 2022 at the home he loved. This remarkable young man leaves a hole in the heart of his family that will never heal. He was 18 years old.

Ethan has gone home to join his great grandfather, Robert Mouse, grandfather, Bobby Mouse, and his beloved mother, Jackie Smith in 2019.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Sherri Mouse-Smith and her husband Brandon Smith of the home in Tahlequah, and his brothers and sisters, Peanut, Brayden, Tye, Aiden, Skyler, Alexandra all of Tahlequah and Sabriah Hoover of Haskell, OK. He leaves his great grandmother, Gloria Jean Mouse of Tahlequah, grandparents, Steve and Joann Sturgeon of Keys, OK, aunts and uncles, Amanda Mouse of Welling, Audrey Wikel and husband Randy of Hulbert, OK, Bryce Mouse and wife Marla of Tahlequah, Reeves Gentry of Vian and Kevin Gentry of Vian, great aunts and uncles, Scott Altaffer and wife Mary of Moody, OK and Gary Mouse and Mary of Tahlequah. He also leaves his nephew, Maverick Poppino of Welling, and his cousins, Mackenzi Wikel, Chazten Wikel, Axzten Wikel, Langzten Wikel, McCoy Dodd, Cora Dodd, Jordan Mouse, and Ryan Altaffer, and his sweetheart and companion, Kianna Shelton of Tahlequah, OK, as well as many friends and co-workers, as well as a host of loved ones too numerous to mention.
