It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edgar Wayne Jones, 79 on September 20, 2023. He died peacefully at Cherokee County Nursing Center in Tahlequah, OK.
Edgar was born on May 6, 1944 and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was an avid car enthusiast, and enjoyed gambling at the casino in his free time. He also loved being a cowboy since he was a small boy.
Edgar was preceded in death by his father Edgar Jones and mother Goldie Jones. He is survived by his wife Joyce Jones.
Edgar was a loving husband, father, and friend. He was a kind, generous, and hardworking man who will be dearly missed.
A memorial service for Edgar will be held Monday, September 25, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Reed-Culver Funeral Home with Chaplain Dennis Nance officiating.
