Earlene Sue Williams was born on October 13th, 1953 in Tahlequah, OK the daughter of Robert Dean “Bobby” and Lizzie (Buzzard) Campbell. She grew up in the Tahlequah area, graduating from the Sequoyah School. As a youth, Earlene had been ill with polio, for an extended period of time. She was always determined that her illness shouldn’t define her successes. She volunteered tirelessly for the Probation/Parole board. When she had free time, she loved to spend time out of doors fishing, camping or cookouts. She was extremely caring and kind, and it was always an open door at Earlene’s house. She spent her evenings in the company of her two cats, watching a little TV and hopefully a SciFi movie. She loved to study about the Cherokee tribe, its people, and their culture and rich traditions, reading for hours on their history. She adored her family and kept in touch as much as possible. She passed from this life on November 17th, 2014, at her home in Tahlequah. She was 61 years old. She will be greatly missed by her many family, friends, and loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her mother, her father, one sister, Aileen Sue Mitchell, and her beloved grandmother, Maggie Dirteater.
