Donna Leann Cooper, 69, of Tahlequah, OK passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 22nd, 2021 in the presence of loved ones. Donna was born August 12th, 1951 in Oklahoma. Donna spent her life as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and nurse. She worked her way through nursing school and went on to have a long and fulfilling career with Cherokee Nation. Donna was an amazing woman who chose to spend her life taking care of others; she will be loved and missed by many.
Donna was preceded in death by her mother Virgie Dean (Smith) Walker, Father, Jesse Lee Walker, three brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her son, Mitchell Cooper and wife Sabrina of Tahlequah, OK, her grandchildren, Chris and Lacey Cooper of Fort Gibson, OK, and Michael and Samantha Cooper of Broken Arrow, OK and her five great-grandchildren Lucas, Cullen, Ian, Justin, and Ellie.
Visitation will be held at Reed-Culver Funeral Home Friday, June 25th, 2021 from 9:00am until 12:00pm. Graveside Services will follow at 2:00pm Haner-Adair Cemetery in Murphy, OK.
