Dee Ann Southern-Millican was born on Thursday, December 18th, 1941 in Tulsa, OK, the daughter of Dee Webster and Janie (Hibbs) Southern. She graduated from school and then began her studies, obtaining her bachelors in education. She married Walton Bruce Janes in 1967, this marriage ended with his passing. She then married Kenneth Millican, and they were happily married until his passing in 2009. Her final years, she enjoyed the company of Wayne Martin, who was her close friend and caregiver. She was the proud mother of two sons and two daughters, Cal Dee, William, Janie and Julia. She worked for McKee Baking where she made Little Debbie Snack Cakes. After her retirement, she hit the road alongside Kenneth who worked as a truck driver traveling the country. She loved people, and was happiest cooking wonderful things to eat for her family and friends. There was nothing better than reading a good book, going fishing at her favorite spot and spending time with her beloved pets, family and friends. She was a member of the Colcord Rodeo Round-Up Club and the Crossties Cowboy Church, and was always a grandmother to every child she came in contact with. She loved children and time spent with them was the best. She was always the one at church willing to lend a helping hand, and was there for anyone that needed her. She was kind and loving, and her smile could light up the room. The Lord called this good and faithful servant home from her labors on Friday, July 5th, 2019 in Tulsa, OK, with her family by her side at the age of 77 years old. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
