Daniel was born January 16, 1938 in Welling, OK to Joseph Albert and Nanny (Whitmire) Graham. He made his life in Tahlequah Oklahoma and in July of 1960 he enlisted in the United States Army and served proudly for three years. After returning, he settled back in Tahlequah and continued to serve his country in the Army Reserves until 1966. Daniel worked at downtown Tahlequah restaurants for many years, first at Calico's restaurant then at Jerry's Place, his sister's restaurant. Daniel loved to pester people, and was an avid people watcher. When he wasn’t spending his time pestering others, he could be found listening to his favorite genre of music, Blue Grass, he was a big fan of Bill Monroe and had seen him in concert many times. His friends remember him as a good man who loved his tobacco, and could spot him a mile away by his ever-present white cup. Daniel loved any time spent with his family. Daniel attended the First Evangelical Free Church where he accepted Christ as his Savior. He enjoyed his church and loved his church family. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Dennis Graham, and one sister Julie Graham.
Those left to cherish his memories include two nephews Michael C. Graham and Michael B. Graham, two cousins Eulamae Miller and Carolyn Whitmire as well as a host of friends and loved ones.
