Christopher Lee Carey was born on March 27th, 1977 in Tahlequah, OK to Connie L. Carey. Christopher worked as a laborer for various companies and most recently in manufacturing of cleaning solutions at a local plant. Christopher enjoyed spending time outdoors playing golf or out fishing at some of his favorite fishing holes. When he could, he liked to take the boat out to Lake Tenkiller or Grand Lake to fish with his buddies. He took a liking to his mom’s dog, Biscuit, and was always up to dog sit or take him for a walk at the park. He was an avid gamer, playing on his tablet or X-Box live and was a big fan of Game of Thrones and the movie, Boondocks Saints. Christopher kept a tight knit group of friends and family and loved any chance he had to spend with them. A Christian by faith and member of God’s Shining Light Church, Christopher passed from this life far too soon on September 11th, 2022 at his home in Catoosa. He was 45 years old and will be missed by those that knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Geneva Welch, Christie Dirteater and Donald Ray Carey, aunt, Deborah Hall and uncles, Ronald Dean Carey and David Leadbetter.
He will be remembered by his mother and stepdad, Connie L. Carey and Thomas Bridges, of the home, son, Trinity Nicholas Carey of Tahlequah, OK and daughter, Chelsea Renee Carey of Hulbert, OK. He also leaves three aunts, Druella Pratt of Claremore, OK, Donna Nichols of Broken Arrow, OK and Eva Hildreth of Hillsborough, NC, one uncle, Rodney Carey of Hulbert, OK as well as his cherished friends.
Graveside memorial services will be held for Christopher Lee Carey on Thursday, October 20th, 2022 at 2:00pm at Keener Cemetery.
