Carl Eugene Scott was born on May 15th, 1957 in Tahlequah, OK, the son of Louie Marie and Minnie Hazel (Callaway) Scott. He grew up with a family of three brothers and three sisters, Sammy Scott, Mary Riley, Wiley Ray “Bill” Scott, Estelle Childs, Jimmy Dale Scott and twin sister, Carol Wilson. He began his education in California and then moved with his family to Woodall, OK. He became a member of the Shriners and was baptized at the Greenleaf Baptist Church. At an early age he began working on cars and carried this trade throughout his life. He developed a love of race cars, and could be seen every summer at a dirt track in Salina, Muskogee and sometimes Arkansas. He retired from racing but would still help a buddy build a race car or just fix it up for a race. He was always working on somebody’s car whether it be his latest project an El Camino pack wagon or his own truck. Carl was a hard working man, first earning his living at Midwestern Container and transitioning to truck driver with Blackhawk Transportation. He loved trucking, traveling down the road, radio playing his favorite country and trucking songs. When he was home, he was watching wrestling, the First 48, or slow smoking some meat to enjoy a family gathering. He loved spending time with his family, and he was so very proud of all of his grandkids, they made him smile. He possessed a unique sense of humor and loved to make you laugh. He would help anyone that needed it no matter the time of day or situation. He will not be forgotten anytime soon and will leave a void in so many.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lige Callaway and his wife, Vinny Estelle, and Albert Scott and wife Arzella, his mother and father, Louie and Hazel, three brothers, Sammy and wife Amy Scott, Bill Scott, Jimmy Scott, Mary Riley and husband Jim, and twin Carol Wilson.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Brian Lee Scott and wife Christy of Tahlequah, Marissa Danielle Solenberg of Tahlequah, and Jeremy Eugene Scott also of Tahlequah. He leaves one sister, Estelle Childs and companion Nancy of Hulbert, OK, and the mother of his children, Pat Scott of Tahlequah.
